Two committees oversee the New Hampshire Estuaries Project: the Management Committee and the Technical Advisory Committee.

The Management Committee works to initiate, oversee, track, evaluate, and update implementation of Action Items contained within the NHEP Management Plan. Management Committee members include citizens, educators, researchers, municipal officials and representatives from state and federal agencies.

The Technical Advisory Committee includes scientific and technical professionals who review projects to ensure a high level of scientific and technical accuracy and relevance.

In addition to these committees, Project Teams focus on the NHEP's priority areas and identify projects and activities to implement Action Plans from the Management Plan. The Water Quality Team, Land Use/Habitat Protection Team, Shellfish Team and the Public Outreach and Education Team each meet periodically to develop management strategies, assess projects, and develop funding opportunities.  Project Teams are comprised of Management Committee members and other stakeholders.

NHEP Workplan

Year 9 Work Plan

Each year the NHEP develops a comprehensive workplan as part of its agreement with the U.S. EPA.  The workplan includes accomplishments achieved since the last workplan and lists goals and project activities for the upcoming year.  Project Teams contribute to workplan development, and the Management Committee reviews and approves the workplan.
